PPC Violence Free Network runs the only shelter for individuals who have been impacted by domestic and sexual violence in Venango County.

Emergency shelter is available to any individual affected by violence. Shelter residents are provided with food and basic necessities. In addition, case management services including assistance with housing, information and referral, and advocacy are available.

The shelter is a safe haven that provides a supportive environment so that individuals can identify their options and access PPC services and other community resources. Shelter affords victims of abuse the time and safe atmosphere to allow for setting goals and making decisions. The abuse may be physical, sexual, psychological or emotional.

The new shelter – is a home for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children!

2019 was an incredible year for PPC in that we completed construction of the new emergency shelter facility.

The new shelter doubles the previous shelters’ square footage and includes ADA accommodations. The new shelter, located next to the Professional Building in Franklin, is a beautiful, state of the art “smart building”.

Many thanks to The Mary Kay Foundation for selecting PPC as a 2019 Domestic Violence Shelter $20,000 Grant Award Recipient!

Please call the shelter at 814-676-5476 prior to taking items for drop off, for directions, to discuss current shelter needs, to volunteer, or to arrange for drop-off of items.
