Strengthening Families Since 1887
'Leading our Community in the Provision of Comprehensive Human Services'

We are excited to announce a change that will bring greater opportunities to the youth we serve through our community-based mentoring program!

Beginning July 1, 2018, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Oil Region officially became known as Youth Connection. We will continue operating as a program under the umbrella of FSCAS. While the name change will have minimal effect on our community-based program, adopting a new model will give us greater control over the costs associated with our service delivery and will allow us to operate more efficiently for the families/matches we serve.

With our new name, Youth Connection, our goal remains to provide positive mentors for our youth. To assist us in that goal, we have become a program partner of The Mentoring Partnership of Southwest PA, which will allow us to receive support and assistance on various aspects of program development and implementation. While we may be changing our name, our commitment is still to provide quality mentoring services to the community we serve.

We look forward to celebrating 25 years of serving the youth in our communities in 2019. Thank you for your continued support for the youth of our community. We enjoy the favorable relationship with the communities we serve and look forward to continuing that relationship in the future.

Our Mission is "Youth Connection is dedicated to instilling hope and empowering youth to reach their fullest potential."

Our Vision is “To help youth realize and reach their dreams through the guidance of a professionally supported mentoring relationship.”

Make a Connection!

Becoming a Mentor is one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling things you will ever do. You have the opportunity to create a friendship that will change a youth's life, while embarking on a life enriching experience. You will help shape a youth's future by empowering them to achieve. You and your Mentee can share the kinds of activities you already like to do.

Play catch. Go on a hike. Explore the bike trail. Eat a pizza with extra cheese. Give some advice and inspiration.

Volunteering just a few hours a month with a local youth will change their life forever!

  Changing perspectives. Changing lives.
What matters most to the Mentees are not the activities. It is the fact that they have a caring adult in their lives. Because they have someone to confide in and to look up to, they will be more successful in school and at home. And at a time in their lives when even small choices can change the course of their future, their Mentor is there to help guide and support them.
Make a donation. It's an investment in a child's future.

When you donate to Youth Connection, you join our cause and directly support children in your community. No matter the amount, your donation can make a difference in the lives of young people around you.

Your funding helps us provide our programs and services throughout Venango, Forest, Clarion and Eastern Crawford Counties - in your local community. Your financial support can help us to recruit new Mentors, provide training materials and support for staff and volunteers, enable ongoing supervision and Match support for every Mentor, Mentee and their family, and provide cultural and social activities to youth who would otherwise miss the opportunity to participate.

Join our Advisory Committee. Donate your time, talents, and ideas.
We are looking for men and women to serve on our Advisory Committee.  Applicants must support our Mission, must have strong ties to the community, and be willing and able to demonstrate philanthropy, integrity, and enthusiasm.
